18th Century Oak Dresser
This is an absolutely stunning example of an early George III period oak dresser, with its original brass handles and hand-forged iron hooks. c. 1760-70s. Five drawers, all smooth in action.
It is relatively small for a dresser, making it an ideal piece of fine furniture for a Georgian flat. The style is smart rather than rustic, meaning it would look well in a dining room, rather than solely in a kitchen.
Some minor restoration work has been made over the centuries, but overall, the condition is mostly original.
The base and rack are original to each other and are not a marriage. All drawers are in good working condition. The dove-tailed drawer linings, curved apron, ironmongery, pot board and feet are all original.
This item is solid in joint and ready to use.
